A blend of coast and mountains, north and south, old recipes and new ideas, family kitchens and modern inspiration.
On the occasion of 20 years of independence, Vijesti launches the campaign “20 YEARS – ONE TASTE” – a search for a cake that captures Montenegro within it.
We are looking for more than a recipe. We are looking for a story. We are looking for emotion. We are looking for a bite that reminds us who we were, who we are, and who we can become.
If you love cooking, preserve family recipes, experiment in the kitchen, or simply have an idea that smells like home – this is your moment.
Send us your recipe, a photo, and a short story about your cake. Maybe it brings together the flavors of north and south, tradition and modernity, simplicity and innovation.
The best cakes will be featured on the Vijesti portal and social media, where the audience becomes part of the story and votes for their favorites.
The five cakes with the most votes will enter the grand finale, held on May 20th in the TV show Boje jutra, where they will be tasted live in front of a professional jury and audience.
In the end, one cake will become a symbol — a taste that will define a generation.
Prizes for the best participants include:
- Weekend stay with breakfast for two at Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort
- Weekend stay with breakfast for two at Hotel Wulfenia in Kolašin
- Weekend stay with breakfast for two at Hotel Krušo in Herceg Novi
- Training at Inova Gastro Academy
- A day at The Chedi beach (cabana at The Rok) and a golf lesson at Luštica Bay
Two additional awards will be given for authenticity and virality — for standout entries that may not reach the final. Winners will receive vouchers worth €150 from Organic by Cosmetics.

We also invite restaurants, pastry chefs, and companies from various industries to join and support the campaign through additional prizes for participants. Together, we can make this story even bigger and more beautiful.

Detailed Rules of Participation
“20 YEARS – ONE TASTE”
1. Organizer
The competition is organized by Vijesti portal and the TV show Boje jutra, marking 20 years of Montenegro’s independence.
2. Who can participate
Open to everyone – professional pastry chefs, amateurs, and anyone who believes a recipe can tell the story of Montenegro.
3. How to participate
Submit:
- Cake name
- Recipe (ingredients and preparation)
- Photo of the cake
- Video (optional)
- Short story – why this cake represents Montenegro
- Full name, phone number, and city
How to apply:

4. What kind of cake we are looking for
A cake that:
- Reflects recognizable Montenegrin flavors
- Combines tradition with a modern approach
- Has a personal touch and story
5. Publishing
Selected cakes will be published on the portal and social media, where voting begins.
6. Voting and entry to the final
- Voting is based on likes on official posts
- Only likes on those posts are counted
- Top 5 cakes with the most likes enter the final
Voting lasts until May 18 (end of day). The organizer reserves the right to verify voting authenticity.
7. Final
Finalists will recreate their cakes and present them live:

The winner is chosen by a professional jury.
