Dvanaesto izdanje The Game Awardsa biće održano 11. decembra u Peacock Theateru u Los Anđelesu. Ovaj događaj važi za najuticajniju ceremoniju u svijetu gaminga i okuplja milione gledalaca širom svijeta.
Iako su The Game Awards posljednjih godina najpoznatiji po “World Premiere” trejlerima i velikim iznenađenjima, nagrade i dalje imaju značajnu težinu za developere i izdavače. Objavljene su nominacije za 2025. godinu, a za nagradu Players’ Voice glasaju fanovi direktno na zvaničnom sajtu The Game Awardsa.
Najviše nominacija ima Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 čak 12, što je najviše što je jedna igra ikada imala u istoriji The Game Awards manifestacije. Po sedam nominacija imaju video-igre Death Stranding 2 i Ghost of Yõtei, jednu manje ima Hades II, a šet Hollow Knight: Silksong.
